A photographer with heart, getting to know Ashleigh Haase

Ashleigh Haase is a true creative at heart and when she discovered photography she soon found herself drawn to weddings and capturing the natural love and connection between a couple on what is one of the most special days in their lives.

Ashleigh’s talent has only grown over the years and she finds that she is drawn to couples that are natural and relaxed and keep their day focused on their love story.

We loved sitting down with Ashleigh and learning more about her journey with photography and some tips when it comes to keeping those nerves away.

A little love story with Hire a Kombi

Is there anything better than a love story?

Especially one that transpired from one life changing phone call, the restoration of a kombi and two people falling in love. The result, a beautiful family and a thriving business with their fabulous fleet of kombis.  We adore George and Alyce of Hire a Kombi and have been avidly following their journey when they moved their kombis to a perfect pocket in the Bellarine Peninsula.

We asked Alyce to share with us their love story, how Hire a Kombi transpired and how you can involve their kombis in your wedding or honeymoon plans. We think you’ll find it’s hard to not get swept up in the romance of this fun and fabulous pair.

So, the love of your life has asked you the big question, you’ve celebrated with your nearest and dearest, and you still regularly get distracted by that sparkler on your finger. It’s time to start to think about your wedding day – at least so you can fend off the “so when’s the big day?” question from every well-meaning person you encounter! It’s often around this time that you will start to work out a budget: venue, photographer, caterer, florist, dress… oh, and a celebrant! Surely they are only a few hundred dollars, right? They just turn up on the day for an hour or so and sign some paperwork?

Well, some do, yes. But these days, there are a whole bevy of talented and inspired guys and gals who are registered celebrants, many of whom offer a premium experience for their couples and work hard to create amazing, memorable ceremonies. So, what does this involve? How can one ceremony be so different to another, and what makes a celebrant worth paying $1000+ for?

We’re lucky enough to work with the cream of the crop when it comes to wedding talent, and popular celebrant, Chloe Jetson, is no exception.
