That’s right, the connoisseurs of custom suits now offer their fabulous fashion at their brand new and very stylish headquarters, as well as online.
We really wanted to share this space with you, because we know suit shopping can be quite the task, but Bellington Estate seriously make it a breeze.
We sat down with Adam to learn all about his new space and all the current trends when it comes to suits.
Wowee, Bellington HQ has arrived! What prompted you to move from being an online business to now being online and having a physical space?
Haha thanks! Well I think it was just the right time. I really felt like there was a gap in the suit market and wanted to be able to provide a great solution for more consumers, so a shop front was the obvious answer. The mass-produced off the rack suit retailers out there are charging absurd amounts for poor-quality, ill-fitting suits and most custom-made suits are upwards of $1,200. Here at Bellington, we use really high-quality materials that compete with the exy suits out there, and we’ve deliberately kept our price point similar to off the rack retailers ($695-$795). So hopefully it’s a no brainer! Plus, with the new HQ you now get to come into a relaxed and inviting space where you can get your hands-on hundreds of fabric and customisation options and really enjoy the experience.
Tell us what has inspired the space? Obviously a lot of thought and care has gone into it and we know it will be a hit with the gents
When I made the decision to dive into a shop, I really wanted to create a fun and laid-back space. Retail spaces can be a bit stiff and intimidating to visit, so I’ve gone for more of a relaxed bar/lounge type vibe. We have a super comfy area in front of the open fireplace which is perfect for mulling over fabric and customisation options, as well as the bar area which the gents are pretty keen to get around and be treated to a few drinks!
Talk us through what a groom can expect from the Bellington HQ experience?
First up Grooms (and brides of course if they wish!) can come into our HQ where we can dial in what sort of set-up they’re after. Often the guys will have a bit of an idea (hot tip – boys get yourself a Pinterest account for inspo) and we work together using our huge range of customisation options to turn their ideas into exactly what they want! They get to choose from hundreds of fabric options, buttons and linings, plus all the cool little details like pocket style, stitching, lapel width etc. I’m certainly no Ralph Lauren, but I’ve seen a few wedding parties in my time so I can provide a bit of styling advice too if needed.
And then the fun part! We get the groomsmen together at Bellington HQ for a measurement session where we usually settle in around the bar and enjoy a few cheeky drinks. They get to choose their own epic jacket linings too which is usually a big hit and a way for them to inject some personality into their suit. I’m also really excited to share that we are now making suits for females, we’ve done some epic girl boss blazers and we’ve even got a few weddings on the go which is awesome! Then once the orders are placed with our tailors in Shanghai, we allow roughly 4 weeks for the suits to arrive back at HQ, however for wedding parties we suggest getting the ball rolling 3 months before the big day just in case any alterations are required.
If I’m interstate or not close to Geelong, can I still order a Bellington suit?
You sure can. It’s the perfect solution for interstate/overseas folk! We’ve created an easy to follow measure up video which is on our website, so just grab a tape measure and a friend to assist you and you’ll be good to go.
Wedding season is in full swing! What trend are we currently seeing in suits and what are some personal favourites.
Seeing lots of different trends come through at the moment which is awesome to see! The more casual blazer and chino combo is still a popular option, with textured blazers being a big winner. We still see a lot of classic tuxedo set ups too which is a super sharp option particularly if you have a larger grooms party. We also did a few velvet blazers this year, a forest green and some pastel pink and blues for something a little more fun and adventurous.

We’re just off Little Malop St in Geelong at 5 McLarty Place, and we’re in awesome company near the likes of Blackmans Brewery, The Hot Chicken Project and Geelong Cellar door so you can enjoy some of Geelong’s best hospitality while you’re down here!
