Real Wedding – Carly & Luke, Bellarine, VIC
Locking in a terrific tribe of vendors early on made creating a dream wedding a breeze for high school sweethearts, Carly and Luke. The couple celebrated their day with family and friends at Jack Rabbit Vineyard on the Bellarine, renowned for its delectable food, incredible wine and breathtaking views of Corio Bay.
Simple yet elegant styling showcased the venue perfectly, thanks to an epic collaboration between Weddings of Desire, Pepper Sprout Hire and Chloe from Style Me Pretty. All the love was captured by Karina Jade Photography.
IN CARLY’S WORDS…
The meeting.
We met each other in high school and grew up together.
The proposal.
Luke took me on a flight above 13th Beach and had friends and family below holding a sign saying, “Will you marry me Shets?” I said yes!
The planning.
It was a breeze. Being very organised from a long way out meant we got to enjoy every part of making decisions and watch it all come together.
Style inspiration.
We didn’t have a specific theme, but we wanted simplicity without taking attention away from our amazing venue and view of the bay.
The dress.
I’d always loved the Anna Campbell collections and had admired the Giselle design long before even planning the wedding.
Favourite moments.
When just the two of us went out for photos at dusk and took a moment to look back at both our families and friends coming together to share such a magical day of ours.
The meaning of marriage.
It means being committed to grow and prosper with the one you love through all that life throws at you, no matter what.

Both of our guests busses ran over an hour late in picking up and dropping off the guests to the venue…whoops!

Just the sheer size of planning and confirming that everything is in place. Every time we thought we were finished something new would pop up.
Words of wisdom.
The wedding isn’t the marriage. Do your best to plan your perfect day but once the day comes, enjoy every minute with your loved ones and capture those special moments.
