Fifteen years in the industry sits behind the operation, most of it spent on outdoor and blank-space weddings: marquee receptions, Sperry tents, venue weddings, intimate soirées and elopements. Blank canvas is the heart of it, and it’s the hardest kind to pull off, because everything — power, flooring, flow, wet-weather contingency — has to be brought in and thought through rather than assumed.

The practical work covers discovery sessions, run sheets, floor plans and seating charts, through to full styling and on-the-day coordination. Popup With Style maintains working relationships across a long list of suppliers and keep those lists current, which tends to be the part that saves couples the most time.

What couples talk about afterwards, though, is the tone. This is a team that brings genuine fun and a fair bit of flair to a process that can otherwise swallow your weekends, and they’ll hold your hand through as much or as little of it as you’d like. A European summer themed Welcome Dinner for 70 guests, followed by a black tie Wedding Dinner for 230 guests, and a request to convert an old Shearing Shed into an epic Rave Cave for the afterparty, was no easy feat, but the challenge was accepted without a second thought and holy shit did she nail it.

We’ve spent the best part of 2 years planning our 3 day wedding festival with Kahlie by our side, and throughout that, she has taken the time to get to know us back to front, not because she had to but because she genuinely cares, and wanted to execute our vision to perfection. Not to mention all of the special little touches throughout our wedding weekend where her creative flare shone brightest – An epic disco ball moment after speeches in our marquee (which our guests are still talking about) twinkled and shimmered in the night, giving a whole new meaning to dinner under the stars, absolutely setting the dance floor off. A moment we didn’t plan but she curated carefully in the background.

We wanted big shiny disco balls, and boy did we get big shiny disco balls, and then some. Many of our loved ones have dubbed it the wedding of the century, and best weekend of their lives (better than their own wedding) but that’s what you get when you work with Kahlie.
