Behind the Scenes – Ash & Emmy, Melbourne CBD

We love the work of wedding content creators, so we want to showcase some of the gorgeous work they do in our wedding landscape. Emmy and Ash chose Bridal BTS to capture their day, in addition to their stellar team of photographer Art of Grace and videographer Ravi Barot Studio.

With venue fabulousness secured in The Trust, Emmy and Ash leant in to their love of classic, vintage styling, creating a stunning day rich in visual vibrancy and poignant, personal moments- all captured to perfection in social ready and film format by Bridal BTS.

Style inspiration.

As soon as we toured our venue, The Trust, we instantly felt like we had been transported back in time. We have always been fans of classic, vintage-style weddings, and the historical surroundings and all-around vibe of The Trust were a match made in heaven for our vision! All the details, from our florals to vintage phone guestbooks, custom matchbox bonbonnieres, and antique-looking decor, complement the historical feel of The Trust.

Favourite moments.

It’s impossible to pick a favourite, from spending the day getting ready with our bridal and grooms parties to running through the streets of Melbourne taking our wedding portraits while cars honked and cheered to partying with our nearest and dearest into the early hours. We both agreed though, that during our ceremony, standing next to each other whilst holding our son, looking out into the crowd of our family and friends was such a surreal, amazing moment. We have truly never felt more loved seeing everyone there to support us, it was incredible.

Funny stories (or near disasters).

They say bad things come in three’s, well, we had aboutsix6 absolutely DISASTROUS things happen in the couple of weeks leading up to the wedding. The worst by far was Em’s 87-year-old Nanna (who was supposed to be walking her down the aisle) falling and breaking her ribs, nose, and being hospitalized with no guarantee from any Dr that she would be well enough to make it to the wedding, let alone even be out of hospital by the big day. I think everyone that Em had been crying to thought ‘huh?’’ as she not only was at the wedding but was also tearing up the dance floor in a rap battle with Sammy on Percussion (one of our DJs).

Last words.

We’d like to give a shout-out to our amazing wedding venue, The Trust. Cocktails flowed all night, the food was incredible, the space was enormous yet somehow still felt intimate, and our guests could not stop saying how breathtakingly beautiful it was! If anyone reading this is umming and ahhing about the thought of winter, or city wedding, DO IT! And do it at The Trust! It truly was a magical experience.
