Black-tie polish, softened by an autumn afternoon in Gippsland.
Brought to life at Mewburn Park’s open day in April, this styled shoot brings black-tie wedding inspiration to the country, taking its cues from the 1850s homestead and the old oaks that shade its gardens.
The palette is ivory, blush and chocolate, lifted by flashes of autumn red.
Etc. Event Styling set long tables with soft white linen, taupe tapers in tall glass hurricanes and mirrored silver menus, all lined with timber bistro chairs. Benita Tscharke Floral filled pewter urns with blush-tipped hydrangeas and ivory roses. For the ceremony, they placed a stone urn spilling roses and baby’s breath on the homestead’s worn stone steps.
Our favourite detail? A grape motif that runs from the die-cut place cards to the bubbles sign on the bar, finished with red grapes tumbling from a pewter urn (harvest season, done beautifully). Jemandi Designs’ invitations set the tone with wide-set capitals, flowing script and a scalloped chocolate RSVP card.
Models Mia and Tommy wore the brief well: Mia in an off-the-shoulder Amante Bridal gown with a sheer corseted bodice and a long lace-edged veil, Tommy in a white jacquard dinner jacket from Panthers Menswear. Evie Wilson Celebrant led the ceremony, Strings with Ally played them back down the aisle, and guests sent them off under a shower of white rose petals.
Morgan Lee Photography captured it all in sun-dappled, editorial frames (that veiled portrait beneath the oak is one to save). Scroll on for the full gallery and vendor credits.
