Elopement elegance in the Grampians

The landscape of weddings, for the time being, has changed.

For an intimate and elegant celebration of love that completely embodies a couple, elopements may just hit the spot.

This styled shoot by a Tribe of talent was inspired by photographer Mel Badsey who hungered “to find beauty in the very country we live in.”

“As a photographer I am driven to see elopements all over the world in incredible places,” Mel explained, “but, I also so deeply wanted to inspire people wanting to elope in Australia. To show how much beauty lies deep within our country too.”

Mel says that she wanted to create a beautiful reminder that you don’t need to fly halfway across the world to find these insanely beautiful landscapes.

And for the time being, with elopements or small weddings being the only option available when it comes to being married in Australia (the couple, two witnesses and officiant only under new Government rulings), the timing of this inspiring showcase couldn’t be more perfect.

Australia is such a beautiful country with all kinds of terrain to be explored. The colours and concepts of this shoot came out of being inspired by nature and a need to connect with the mountains and landscapes in the Grampians, Victoria. The deep reds became a theme throughout the florals, stationery and jacket, as they fit perfectly juxtaposed against the green and brown colourings of the National Park. Topping it off was real life married couple, Nick and Eden, who brought all the elopement feels.

We think you will agree the team behind this shoot completely nailed the brief and we hope you feel inspired by this elegant elopement, scroll below for all the credits.
