Fashion Focus: Low Heel Collection by Meggan Morimoto & Laura de Wit

Laura Slingback with Butterfly Bow

After working with recent bride, model, and Magnolia Ave founder Laura de Wit on her own bridal heels, footwear visionary Meggan Morimoto and Laura continued the creative partnership to co-design a range of bridal footwear that could be worn across all wedding events. Think bridal shower to bachelorette and welcome dinner, ceremony and reception dance floor—simply change up the style or add a bow or pearled accessory.

Effortlessly extending the brand’s ethos of sustainability, ethical, limited-run production, and premium quality in ultra-elegant, chic designs, the Meggan Morimoto x Laura de Wit SS25 Low Heel Collection is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and timeless style.

Style choices.

Incorporating seven styles, each silhouette of the new collection is modern, re-wearable, and perfect for day to night. With three heel shapes and heights, from sway back to flared, ranging across 3cm, 5cm, and 8cm, they’re the perfect choice for a bride who wishes to remain closer to the ground without compromising that elegant effect.

Low heels equal comfort and confidence.

For Laura, heel height was super important first because she is very tall, but primarily because she was aware she would be in her shoes for an extended period and wanted to feel comfortable at each stage of the celebration. Whether walking down the aisle, enjoying cocktails on the lawn, or dancing, the smaller heel and quality of the shoes meant she was comfortable throughout.

Laura’s wedding heels.

For Laura, the decision to engage Meggan Morimoto to design her wedding shoes came about due to Meggan’s attention to detail, luxury aesthetic, and timeless shapes, which align with Laura’s personal style.

She wore four pairs of shoes across the wedding events: the slingback Laura (for getting ready, the ceremony and cocktail hour), the Emory for the after party, the Cherie for her bachelorette and the Alix for the Welcome dinner (and those names are a nod to her best friends and mother – we love!)

Colourways.

With three colourways to choose from in the new Low Heel Collection: ivory satin, pearlised white leader or (our personal fave!) dusty blue satin, you are sure to find the perfect hue to complement your dream day fit.

Meggan Morimoto x Laura de Wit SS25 Low Heel Collection is the fashion-forward yet timeless choice for sophisticated, stylish brides who want to enjoy every element of their dream day.
