With Western Australia making up almost one third of our country, there’s no wonder it has so much to offer when it comes to creating a dream wedding celebration.

What we love about Western Australia is that while it’s vast, it’s so diverse and offers something for everyone.

From romantic wine regions, spectacular national attractions, beautiful beach side locations and a thriving metropolis, Western Australia is the ultimate destination.

We take a little peek inside as to all that is wonderful when it comes to a Western Australia wedding.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA VENUES TO SUIT ANY WEDDING THEME

If you need a location that is sophisticated, known for its sunshine and relaxed lifestyle, then the city of Perth is perfect for those looking to create some metropolitan magic when planning their wedding. Garden glam, beachside bliss or industrial elegance when it comes to choosing a space, you name it, this city has got it.

It does not get much better than the romantic region of Margaret River, one of Western Australia’s most popular options for the ultimate destination wedding. Create a luxe winery wedding, or be wed in front of sweeping views or even go a little off the grid and be married in the countryside. There’s an abundance of options and we love it!

Below Margaret River, the south west of Western Australia has some of the most incredible beaches and natural locations you have ever seen. Albany, Denmark, Walpole and Bremer Bay are just some of the places you might like to go, explore and seal the deal with your favourite person.

Don’t forget the sweet city of Fremantle that is a total vibe when it comes to getting hitched. Artsy, and quirky, this maritime city is one not to be missed.

Of course we couldn’t miss iconic Broome, you would have seen the photos of this picture-perfect paradise. With its relaxed vibe, while Broome might be famous for pearls, planning your perfect wedding day is a beach-side breeze.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN LOOKING AT WESTERN AUSTRALIA WEDDING VENUES

Weather

Where to begin when it comes to Western Australia weather! While Perth is the sunniest capital of Australia, Western Australia has many types of climate – the South West is temperate, with winter rainfall and four distinct seasons, where the North is tropical with a wet and dry season, while the rest of the land is arid or semi-arid.

It pays to really do your research as to your exact location and passing on this information to your guests also. This ensures everyone is dressed appropriately and can feel as comfortable as possible at your celebration.

Transport

Let’s face facts, Western Australia is huge.

So while the city of Perth may have easy public transport options, for the rest of the state you will really need to research and see what the best option is. Whether that’s flying, going by rail or hiring a car, research, research, research and ensure you make it easy and safe.

Local Events

Don’t be fooled by the relaxed Western Australian air, there is always plenty going on in this wonderful state. Be it festivals, markets, music, theatre, sporting or food events – it pays to plan in advance and keep an eye out on the social calendar in the region you will be visiting so there’s no hindrance when it comes to planning your wedding day.

Accommodation

Western Australia has an abundance of accommodation options across the state. Make use of Air BnBs, campgrounds, luxury hotels or homes. There is an accommodation option to suit any style or budget.
