Real Wedding – Georgia & Jason, Dromana VIC

You can’t help but look at the imagery of Georgia and Jason’s Dromana celebration and feel a whole range of emotions. It is clear from the smiles radiating from the couple, their bridal party, and every guest in attendance – the joy of this celebration cannot be denied.

This dream duo worked together to design a day that embraced the outdoors and had glorious greenery in abundance. Fresh and fabulous was the mix of green and white through florals and fashion alike and from the moment Georgia and Jason spotted one another right before their ceremony – they simply knew the best day of their lives was just beginning.

Take it all in here, you’ll be sure to have a smile on your face by the end as you enjoy their day through the lens of the wonderful Jeremy Blode.

In their words…

The meeting.

We met in 2011 at a friend’s birthday. We both noticed each other from opposite sides of the room. It took a few hours to have the courage to talk to each other.. alcohol helped. We hit it off straight away after that night!

The proposal.

It was Georgia’s birthday and we arranged to go for a hike up one of LA’s many tracks near Malibu. We pulled up to a spot with the most magical view with the bay on one side and the city on the other. I then gave Georgia her birthday card and a collage of photos and on the back,  it said, “Will You marry Me?”.

The process.

We work together every day as we own a women’s activewear label, All Fenix, together. This made it super easy for us as our schedules were flexible and as we had planned so many events together, we knew exactly what to expect. Lucky for us, we both had a very similar style and idea of how we wanted the day to be.

Style inspiration.

We got a lot of inspiration from Instagram accounts like Ivory Tribe but also from attending a lot of friend’s weddings. We knew that we wanted something outdoors with beautiful greenery everywhere!

The dress.

It was the first store (Rachel Gilbert) and the first dress I tried on. We got nervous how easy the process was that we spent the rest of the day trying on dresses, but I always came back to this one!

Favourite moments.

Seeing each other for the first time right before the ceremony was a pretty special moment. Our hora’s (Jewish dancing) was the best part for sure, they got pretty wild and we just had so much fun celebrating!

Funny stories (or near disasters).

I pulled my hamstring and badly sprained my finger at my Hen’s party the weekend before and Jason ended up with a black eye from basketball! So, there was a lot of ice and physio sessions in the lead up!

Words of wisdom.

Don’t sweat the small stuff! There are so many little details you can get caught up in while you’re planning, but I promise you, no one knows the difference! We made sure that as soon as the day arrived, we didn’t care what happened, we just wanted to have as much fun as possible and we really did!
