Real Wedding – Jac & Dimma, Lancefield VIC
Nestled in Lancemore Macedon Ranges’ glorious secret garden, the long-awaited nuptials of Jac and Dimma unfolded in a perfect harmony of romance, style and beautiful simplicity.
The pair let their chosen venue speak for itself, and with a view of showering their guests in an uplifting day filled with love and great vibes – they more than met their wedding day brief. The joy on their faces says it all.
Modern styling in the way of Jac’s glorious, off-shoulder Kyha Studios gown and Dimma’s sharp monochromatic tux were further alleviated with the addition of divine neutral tones and dusty pink florals.
From their Matt Finch-led ceremony, to spending time with Hailey of Love Bomb Photos, an incredible reception entrance, and the fact that their after party kicked on until the early hours of the morning – it was the perfect start to married life.

The meeting.
We met in 2009, at our part time job, under the golden arches of McDonalds; we were good friends for years until we started dating in 2011. By this time Dimma was actually my manager so it was all a bit controversial, however by the time we became official we had everyone saying, ‘we knew you guys were together!!”, so we obviously didn’t do a very good job of hiding it!
The ‘one’.
I (Jac) knew very early on that Dimma was the person I wanted to spend my life with. We were so solid from the start, being super open and honest about anything and everything and I knew that Dim was everything I wanted in a life partner and one day husband! It didn’t take Dim long to realize this either!
The proposal.
We were away for the weekend in Mount Macedon and had gone out for lunch at one of their beautiful wineries. As we both have a passion for good food and wine, this was not out of the ordinary for us! After lunch we went for a walk around the property and into the vineyard, this was when Dimma got down on one knee and popped the big question! Still one of the happiest days of our lives to date.
Planning process.
Like many couples in recent times, the pandemic meant our original date in March 2021 couldn’t go ahead. We opted to postpone a full year in the hope everything would have well and truly settled down by March 2022. This wasn’t without stress; however we were lucky enough that most of our incredible vendors were available our new date and it was all pretty smooth sailing!
Style and planning inspiration.
We really wanted to let our venue speak for itself, as it is just so stunning. I loved the modern contemporary vibe at Lancemore and really just wanted to complement that. We just wanted a day that truly reflected us as a couple and wanted all our guests to feel the love.
Being a die-hard romantic, I’ve been a fan of Ivory Tribe’s real weddings for years! I could literally sit for hours scrolling through and reading everyone’s love stories and beautiful weddings. I also loved creating mood boards on Instagram whenever I saw something that spoke to me and loved flicking through the pages of wedding magazines.
The ceremony.
We had our ceremony on site at Lancemore, in the secret garden, which was one of the reasons we chose our wedding venue. Our Celebrant, Matt Finch was one of the first vendors we locked in, as he actually married our brother and sister-in-law years ago, we knew that when our big day came around he was the only person we wanted to marry us. His relaxed nature and the way he so perfectly told our story really set the vibe for our whole wedding day. Our ceremony was one of our favorite parts of our wedding, particularly our personal vows we wrote and shared with each other.
The outfits.
I (Jac) went shopping with my mum, sister, and best friend in-between lockdowns in Melbourne in 2020 when we thought we would be getting married our original date in 2021. After visiting a few different designers, we ended up at Kyha Studios. I knew I wanted something quite minimal and modern and when I tried on the May gown, I instantly felt like myself. That’s how I knew it was my dress.
My bridesmaids wore beautiful Shona Joy slip dresses, and all looked so stunning.
We knew we wanted Dimma and his boys in something timeless, so we went for Black Tuxedos from Men’s suit warehouse. The boys all looked so handsome.
Favourite moment.
There are so many! Our ceremony and exchanging our vows, our photo session with our wonderful photographer Hailey and videographer Ellena, entering our reception and dancing all night with our favorite people! We also had an after party at Lancemore as all our guests were staying and didn’t stop dancing until the early hours of the morning!
Meaning of marriage.
A lifelong commitment to each other. Supporting and encouraging each other’s dreams. Understanding that everyday won’t be perfect, but always remembering how lucky we are to have each other’s support through the best and worst times.
Wedding soundtrack.
Aisle – Lifetime by Justin Bieber
Singing the certificate – Home to Mama by Justin Bieber
Recessional – Believe by Cher
Bridal Party Entrance to reception – Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust
Bride and Groom Entrance – All Of The Lights Interlude & All Of The Lights by Kanye West
First Dance – Beyond by Leon Bridges
Funny stories (or near disasters).
Dimma’s groomsmen organised to surprise him on the wedding day by organising a private flight to our wedding venue which was pretty epic. As it was quite windy and overcast the morning of our wedding the conditions weren’t perfect for flying and the pilot admitted once he landed the plane that it was the hardest landing he’d ever done, thank god they all got there in one piece!
Planning surprises.
Organising our seating chart for our reception. I think we underestimated how long this would take!
Words of wisdom.
Don’t sweat the small stuff! Remember the day is about marrying your dream person and take a moment away from everyone to really soak it all in with your new husband or wife. When you look around the room remind yourself that everyone is there for the two of you.
Final words.
As we got married on a Friday, we really wanted to make our wedding a weekend long affair. We highly recommend organising a wedding recovery the following day with all your favorite people. We had ours at Kyneton bowls club, which was so fun, and it meant we didn’t feel guilty if we didn’t get around or say hi to everyone at the wedding.
