Without a doubt, beautiful bride Kyla took everyone’s breath away when she made her way down the aisle to her soon to be husband Michael. A vision in Pallas Couture, it set the tone to what lay ahead as they hosted an epic party at the exclusive Campbell Point House.

This loved up duo enlisted the help of superstar stylist, Weddings of Desire, to ensure guests were wowed from the moment they walked through the door. Partying until well into the night, Brown Paper Parcel was there to capture all the heavenly highlights.

The meeting.

Michael and I met at work. After about 6 months of dating we both knew we had found the one.

The proposal.

The proposal was in Bali and Merah Putih which Michael’s best friend Kieran (his best man) owns. He organised a degustation for us and then Michael had arranged a dessert plate to be delivered with ” will you marry me ” on it and the next thing I knew, Michael was on one knee.

Style inspiration.

We only saw one other venue before Campbell Point House and we just knew it was exactly what we wanted. The band on my ring is rose gold so we included that through the entire wedding styling and we also loved spring colours like blush and whites. Laura from Weddings Of Desire was incredible. She was so easy to work with and has such a beautiful creative eye. She styled everything so beautifully.

The dress.

My dress was by Pallas Couture. As soon as we were engaged in Bali, I obviously started looking at Instagram and Pallas was the first designer that I fell in love with. I did try on a number of others, but nothing compared to the way that Pallas fit, and I’m a huge lover and supporter of Australian designers, so the 5 trips to Sydney from Melbourne was definitely worth it.

Favourite details.

My dress! I felt so lucky to be a Pallas Couture bride and the flowers from Prunella were insane!

Favourite moment/s.

Walking down the aisle and seeing Michael’s face and reaction, he actually said “oh sh*t.”

Funny Stories and/or disasters.

There wasn’t anything really. I actually really enjoyed the lead up to our wedding, it is such a beautiful time and everyone is excited. I really miss all the planning and talking about everything wedding. One of my girlfriends was married a few months before me and she gave me the advice that throughout the day be sure to drink at least five glasses of champagne, which I did. I think it made me extra confident and while I thought I would have been emotional working down the aisle by myself, but I actually wasn’t at all.

The meaning of marriage.

It actually makes me feel even more special to be Michael’s wife. I want to be one of those old couples that have been together for like 40 + years.

Words of wisdom.

Get a wedding planner/ stylist and don’t stress out about small things. Enjoy the entire lead up and all the planning months prior to your day, it adds to the overall experience. Nobody likes a bridezilla!
