Madison and Brandon have been walking life’s journey side by side since the tender age of 16, have already started a family of their own and now they’ve celebrated their official ever-after in a beautiful Bellarine bonanza that will stay with them forever.

With a vision of rustic and boho vibes, yet managing to keep the overall look modern and timeless, Madison opted for wild flowers and tones with simple, modern styling.

Their magic moments included walking down the aisle, exchanging some emotion-charged vows and of course – taking a moment to soak up the magic of having all of their favourite people in one room.

In Madison’s words…

The meeting.

Through mutual friends when we were 16.

The ‘one’.

We started dating when we were 16, but we had a very strong and easy connection right from the get go which lead me to think ‘yeah, I’m going to marry this guy one day’.

The proposal.

It was on our first parent vacay away from our young children. We were on a rooftop of a boat coming into the Sydney harbour bridge when I was trying to take a photo of the scenery and he dropped to one knee in front of me. I was in complete shock as he had me convinced that ‘he wouldn’t be proposing to me this weekend and just wanted a nice weekend away together’.

The process.

Incredibly stressful, yet so fun. I planned most of my wedding with my mum, and she was my rock throughout the whole process, through the tears and sleepless nights, she kept me together.

Style inspiration.

Slight boho-rustic vibes but still modern and timeless. I had wild flowers and tones with simple, modern styling.

The dress.

Sexy but elegant. I wanted something that I knew my husband would love. The moment I stepped into my dress I knew it was the one. I knew my husband’s heart would melt when he seen me in it and I felt truly beautiful wearing it.

Favourite moments.

Hearing my husband’s vows was pretty amazing, but standing back together for a moment and looking around at all of our family and friends who were there to celebrate our love for each other was so special and made us feel so lucky for the people in our lives.

Meaning of marriage.

Forever – through the good and the bad. Having a soul mate who will love you fiercely for life.

Funny stories (or near disasters).

My husband picked up his suit two days prior and his pants couldn’t get past his thighs. He picked up a pair that fit the night before the wedding.

Planning surprises.

I had never been to a wedding prior to planning my own. I actually took myself by surprise at how well I did with all the finer details and bringing everything together!

Words of wisdom.

Don’t sweat the small stuff, or if you’re like me and feel better sweating over it, you do you. It’s your day, not anyone else’s!
