Real Wedding – Nicole & Steve, Portsea VIC
Nicole and Steve knew that Portsea was the perfect place to be wed, hoping to keep to it relaxed and fun.
They created beach side bliss with their nearest and dearest and there were many magical moments as they celebrated their happily-ever-after.
This duo knew it was key to lock in an all-star list of suppliers to support them every step of the way, which is why they had many of our very own Tribe bringing their talents to create a show-stopping celebration including Fern and Stone Photography.
In their words…
The meeting.
We met through Nicole’s brother in February, 2010.
The proposal.
Steve popped the question on the beach in Bali with our at the time 3-month-old son.
The process.
I found the process really enjoyable and fun (I love organising!).
Style inspiration.
We wanted a relaxed, beachside, fun vibe.
The dress.
I knew I didn’t want anything to over-the-top, so when I tried my dress on for the first time, I fell in love with the simplicity straight away.
Favourite moments.
Seeing all our loved ones on the dance floor having a really good time.
Meaning of marriage.
Marriage means family and building a future together.
Wedding soundtrack.
Aisle: Better Together by Jack Johnson
Reception entry: Something Good 08 by Utah Saints (Ian Carey edit)
First dance: Something Special by Miguel Campbell
Funny stories (or near disasters).
Nicole didn’t have her wedding ring on the day, she had to borrow someone’s. There was an error when it was made.
Words of wisdom.
Just remember its your day so don’t worry about keeping other people happy, do what you want to do.
