Real Wedding – Sacha & Noah, Newstead QLD

High school sweethearts Noah and Sacha celebrated their true-love romance in a day reflecting beauty, stunningly timeless style and heartfelt emotion. Giving nothing but chic elegance, this vision of a wedding is a perfect coalescence of contemporary decor, soft, whimsical florals and dark masculine-inspired accents.

Set against the neo-industrial expansiveness of ultra-stylish venue The Refinery, a crisp monochromatic colour palette with sweepings of soft greenery merely enhance the glam aesthetics. Against this sophisticated setting, Noah and Sacha beam mega-watt smiles in their moment-making fits. He is in a classic black suit by Wil Valor, cut to contemporary lines, and she is in a modern princess gown by Eva Lendel, complete with epic train and statement bow detailing.

We love to see a couple relaxed in front of the camera, and under the masterful guidance of George Bowden, they have created a portrait session filled with sweet romance and effortless grace. Scroll on to see every beautiful frame.

The meeting.

We went to high school together, but it took four years before we finally acknowledged and first spoke to one another at Year 11 Biology camp. After a couple of months of waiting for Noah to get the courage to ask Sacha out on a date, we’ve now been together ever since.

The ‘one’.

No matter how much time we would hang out, we would never get sick of each other.

The proposal.

Sacha was invited to a dinner with Noah’s mum and sister to celebrate her birthday, only to be surprised on the drive there that she wasn’t going to dinner. Instead, she was dropped at a stunning fairy-lit tree at Kangaroo Point, and there Noah was surrounded by candles waiting for her arrival.

Planning process.

As we began researching all the big things, we very quickly realised what we loved, so our goal was to lock in all the important areas asap. Then, we had a decent break during our eight-month planning process, and as we got closer to the day, so many little things crept up on us.

Style inspiration.

Classical, minimal, timeless and elegant.

The ceremony.

We both didn’t realise the beauty and significance that a ceremony could entail. But we were both so relaxed and present and had Noah’s dad as our wedding celebrant, which made it even more special.

Favourite moments.

We both loved the ceremony! It was filled with so much love and raw emotion; it just felt so significant.

Meaning of marriage.

For us, it means a lifelong commitment to loving and supporting each other through all the paths that life takes us on.

Wedding soundtrack.

Signing: Coming Home by Leon Bridges

Recessional: My Girl by The Temptations

Reception entry: Let’s Groove by Earth, Wind & Fire

Words of wisdom.

Never stop planning! You haven’t finished planning until the day is happening! But also, enjoy the process and avoid fighting with those you love; it’s not worth it.
