Real Wedding – Tania & Leigh, Cremorne VIC
Tania knew that Leigh was ‘the one’ after he showed his unwavering love and support during a very difficult time in their lives. Three years later they made it official, surrounded by the gorgeous greenery of Glasshaus in Melbourne.
Throughout the whole planning process, this lovely, laidback pair knew what was most important about their special day; each other.
With a beautiful venue to provide the backdrop to their chic celebration, it only took a few simple, yet stunning styling elements to create a relaxed, fun-filled affair for themselves, family and friends.
With an all-star tribe to bring their day together, they enlisted the help of tribe talents Stefani Driscoll and Lightbox Media; keep scrolling to see their day unfold.
In Tania’s words…
The meeting.
We first met in 2016 during our MBA studies.
The ‘one’.
As soon as we started dating, I knew that Leigh was different and that my feelings towards him were unlike anything that I had felt before. I knew very early on that I loved Leigh, however, it was after spending two weeks with my family and I in March last year, when we said goodbye to my beautiful, mum that I knew that he was the one. During such a difficult time, Leigh’s support and compassion was unwavering for not just myself but for my entire family. I had no doubts in my mind that Leigh was the one and the man that I was going to spend the rest of my life with after that very difficult time in my life.
The proposal.
In August of 2018 Leigh planned the most incredible three-week holiday in Switzerland and Italy. On the second day in Switzerland, two hours into a hike in the Swiss Alps, Leigh got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The proposal, the remainder of our stay in Switzerland, the surprises along the way, the delicious food and wine, a private boat around the Isle of Capri made the trip one of the most incredible experiences that we have shared together.
Planning process.
The planning process was a fun and easy process, we made decisions together and were very relaxed about the whole process. We kept coming back to why we were planning this special day and what was important to us.
Style inspiration.
We really wanted to create a space which not only looked beautiful but had a relaxed feel.
The dress.
I knew exactly what style I wanted and after trying on my dress I knew it was the one.
Favourite moment(s).
Seeing Leigh for the first time, all my nerves disappeared.
The meaning of marriage.
Marriage to us is a lifetime commitment in not only the great times but also when life gets incredibly hard. It’s a commitment to love, support, and respect one another as a united team.
Wedding soundtrack.
Aisle – I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness
Reception entry – Electricity by Silk City (Dua Lipa)
First dance songs – I Need My Girl by The National
Funny stories (or near-disasters).
No near-disasters, our day was thankfully perfect.
