There is no doubt that wedding content creation is the latest trend, taking the industry by storm – and for excellent reason. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a new wedding service with such potential, creativity and staying power, and we are excited to see it flourish.

We spoke to the talented Bek of Bridal BTS to learn more about what a wedding content creator can add to your suite of vendor talent, how she began her super-successful business, and why 2025 couples cannot book her quickly enough.

The origin of Bridal BTS

Bridal BTS started after a busy wedding season, with many of my friends getting married. I’d always be capturing snippets from their day to create content for my own Instagram and TikTok and would also share bits and pieces with the couple. Many couples ask guests to add photos or videos to a shared folder as they want to see memories from their day ASAP. After seeing this shared folder pop up at a few weddings, I realised the content in there was a real mixed bag – things like having different camera quality and different styles of content played into it, as well as some people having trouble even accessing the folder.

I started to get feedback from friends who were really happy with the content I captured as a fly-on-the-wall guest at their wedding, so much so that some asked me to join their morning getting ready or pre-ceremony before turning into a guest for their day. It was also around the time I was preparing for my own wedding when wedding content creation wasn’t much of a thing yet. My videographers and photographers were incredible, and I felt there was space to work alongside this team to capture something in addition to their amazing work.

I come from a background in marketing for some of Australia’s biggest beauty and fashion brands, so I have an eye for content. Being a recent bride, I also understand how quickly the day can pass you by without giving any thought to picking up your phone. It’s such a whirlwind, and you want your bridal party to soak up every moment with you rather than try to capture content.

After posting a few videos from friends’ weddings on TikTok, people asked me to capture their weddings, and it really snowballed from there.

Fast forward to now, I work with a team of content creators who are experts in capturing the mini-moments, the big moments and everything in between. We get the honour of capturing lovers’ most cherished interactions and delivering it all in a high-quality format within 24 hours of their day.

Bye-bye, shared folder dramas!

Why hire a content creator in addition to your videographer and photographer?

Everything a wedding content creator captures is designed to complement the work of the photographer and videographer – adding to your creative suite of wedding content. The three creatives will all be capturing different things in different ways, so you’ll be able to reflect on your day through multiple lenses and perspectives and should work together to create a seamless process.

There are so many benefits to having a wedding content creator capture your day – one of the biggest is that you can truly soak up every moment, knowing everything will be captured for you and nothing will be missed. You and your bridal party can be unplugged throughout the day rather than trying to snap a few photos and videos here and there.

Then, the day after your wedding, you wake up to a curated collection of candid memories and highlight reels – so you can relive and reflect on your day immediately. Your wedding day is such a whirlwind, so having a dedicated content creator means you have your day documented for you – including all of the big moments and some that you may miss in all of the excitement.

When it comes to something as special as your wedding, the urge to share on social media straight away is real. Receiving all of the raw iPhone footage within 24 hours means you have memories of your day to tide you over while your photo and video galleries come through. You also have edited video content ready to share with friends and family, without having to ask guests to add their photos or videos to a shared folder.

The key is vendor collaboration.

I’ve worked with a series of talented photographers and videographers across Australia, and we work seamlessly together to capture what we need throughout the day. The most important thing is that the couple have an incredible day, and their creative team make them feel comfortable – it’s not every day you have multiple cameras in your face!

We collaborate with the photographer and videographer while being mindful not to obstruct anyone’s shots. By understanding their positioning and respecting their space, we can all capture the best moments for the couple through our respective lenses.

By working in sync with the photographer and videographer, we ensure all of the moments from the couples’ wedding day are captured while they enjoy an incredible celebration with their nearest and dearest.

Content creation captures the uniquely special moments.

There are so many moments that don’t make it to the video edit that couples look back on and treasure forever. Couples love the mini-moments that we capture – things like parents seeing their daughter in her dress for the first time, the look on guests’ faces as couples say their vows, a subtle squeeze of the hand from a grandparent, a cheers from a friend or the loving words of encouragement from bridesmaid to bride as they prepare to walk down the aisle.

We capture all of the big moments, too, but the moments that may be missed in the whirlwind of the day are the ones that couples tell us are most special.

Styles of content.

Every couple is different, and every wedding day is different – we really tailor our edited content to reflect the couple as best as possible.

The Bridal BTS style of content is super organic and truly behind-the-scenes, as our name says. Our approach to capturing couples on their wedding day is to be more of a fly on the wall, capturing all the big and in-between moments throughout the day.

We work in sync with the photographer and videographer to capture moments as they do – rather than making your wedding day a ‘content opportunity’ – we shadow you and your partner throughout the day to capture it as you are.

We also have a pre-wedding consultation to go through any specific content requests, like whether the couple wants to do any TikTok trend-based videos or prefers us to simply shadow and be the fly on a wall for them. This consultation helps influence the final output of our content from a wedding day while remaining true to our Bridal BTS aesthetic and feel.

The logistics.

Depending on the level of coverage a couple would like, we will generally capture the morning of the wedding, getting ready for both the bride and groom and then through to the start of the reception. This means we’ll cover the pre-ceremony getting ready moments with the bridal party and family, the ceremony itself, couples portraits and then the reception set up and entry.

Our wrap time depends on what you’re after – we can stay right until later in the night or just capture your reception set-up and entry before heading home to edit the videos for you.

What trends are you currently seeing in content creation?

Content creation is definitely moving in the direction of really natural, candid storytelling while still being super emotive – which we love to see. We’re still seeing couples who want a handful of TikTok trending videos, but definitely more will purely want the candid and unfiltered moments but in an elevated aesthetic.

The future of wedding content creation.

Get ready to see wedding content creation everywhere next wedding season – it really is now a must-have! Here at Bridal BTS, we are excited to be booking what looks to be a busy wedding season coming up, with amazing weddings across Australia. With wedding content creation becoming the new norm, we’re excited to be booking European weddings in 2025 as well as other celebrations like engagement parties, bridal showers and recovery days.
