A multi-million-dollar renovation turned the property into a contemporary venue with floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking the river, clean minimalist interiors, and the culinary credibility of Jesse Hughes and Matt Baird behind it. If you know their Geelong restaurants Alma and Felix, you already know what to expect from the food.
The restaurant’s focus on contemporary Middle Eastern cuisine gives the wedding menu a point of difference that most venue kitchens can’t match. Cocktail-style, shared feast or plated dinner, the kitchen and dedicated wedding planner work with each couple to build a menu around their tastes, using locally sourced, ethically produced ingredients.

Indoor and outdoor ceremony locations are available, with the glass-walled interior framing the gardens and river as your backdrop if the weather turns. “We loved having our wedding at Barwon Edge. Nestled amongst the trees and adjacent to the Barwon River, it felt like we could be anywhere, but in reality, only 10 minutes from home!
We loved being able to use the entirety of the grounds, too, as we had both our ceremony and reception here. It was so fun walking up from our ceremony to the canape hour outside and then into our reception from there.
The restaurant’s interiors were also beautiful and perfectly complemented our wedding style.
