Couples who’ve worked with Phil of Heart and Colour tend to say the same thing in different ways: they stopped noticing him. He was there at the ceremony, obviously. He was moving through the reception, clearly. But by the time they sat down to look at their gallery, often on the last night of a honeymoon, or over a cup of tea on return, they found images of moments they didn’t know anyone had seen. A father, an uncle, and a son, arms around each other, laughing. A glance across the room. The moments of anticipation right before a couple are pronounced husband and wife.
Phil founded Heart and Colour after his own wedding to Bek, and the business has been built around that instinct ever since: stay close, stay quiet, and photograph people when they’ve forgotten you’re there.

Heart and Colour are currently based in Northern NSW and photograph weddings across Australia — the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, the Blue Mountains and Tasmania (which Phil calls their second home) among regular locations — as well as internationally, with previous destination work in Bali and beyond. Photography and videography are both available, either individually or as a combined offering.
Phil and his team bring a calm, documentary approach to the day, with enough direction during portraits to put even camera-shy couples at ease.
