Jane Mackinlay began her journey as a civil celebrant when she recognised an opportunity to bring warmth, personality and relatable energy to weddings – with a mission to leave the experience feeling like a friend of a couple, rather than somebody just there to do a job.

She combines her experience in media, a love of weddings and sincere admiration for the love, energy and styling that they bring, to offer just that – warm, personalised ceremonies with heart.

Believing that it’s easy for just anybody to step up and recite a couple’s story, Jane believes two people marrying deserve a celebrant who takes the time to get to know them. Understanding the core of who they are, their unique love and story, while becoming a part of that story alongside them.

Often setting the tone for the day that follows, Jane is driven by crafting the perfect ceremony – however that looks to them – and ensuring that guests leave feeling like it was less of a necessary formality and more of a mood-setting celebration to remember.

With over a decade worth of experience in writing, presenting and interviewing under her belt, Jane’s polished approach really shines through, but her real super-power is one of connection. Finding common ground, understanding the intricacies of a couple and in turn, re-telling a story written for, not just about, them.
