Every Luci Di Bella gown begins as a pattern drafted to one person’s measurements, and will forever be their gown, never remade.
That’s the premise of this Armadale design house: made-to-measure bridal couture, designed, sampled and constructed in their own Melbourne studio, with modern silhouettes, European styling and a fit built from the very first measurement.
Most of their fabrics come from Europe and are exclusive to the design house, so the textiles in your gown are of stunning quality.
From there, you have room to move: co-create a gown from scratch alongside the designers, combine elements from across the showroom collections, or order a design exactly as it appears. Whichever direction you take, the gown is made to your measurements in house.
What really stands out is that you work with a designer directly at every stage, from the first consultation through fittings to pick-up. The open-plan studio means you can see the work happening around you, and because appointments are one-on-one, the showroom is yours for the hour.
Consultations are free and run for about an hour, with a quote provided at the end based on the gowns you’ve fallen for, and a second consultation to refine fabrics and custom details.
Gowns average around $6,200, and that figure covers every fitting, with no separate alteration costs since the gown is made for you from the outset. They prefer to meet you eight to twelve months out, with six months the minimum.
“Thanks to Luci and the team I wore the perfect dress to our wedding. It was comfortable and beautiful and even had pieces of my late grandmother dress sown into it (see bows on the back). Going to the fittings was my favourite part of the wedding build up! I would recommend Luci Di Bella to anyone looking to not only create the dress of their dreams, but to have the best time doing it. Thank you so much!”
