This family-owned property in North East Victoria’s wine country has been meticulously restored by its owners, Ben and Gina, who turned a former convent, school and boarding house into a venue with genuine character. Gothic-inspired architecture, original classrooms, established gardens, and a brand-new brewery next door that handles the party side of the evening with craft beers and Mexican cuisine from the on-site kitchen.

Five ceremony locations give you real variety. The restored chapel is the centrepiece, featuring lead-light windows and original architecture in a spacious setting.

Outside, the landscaped front gardens and the grand oak tree offer two distinct outdoor vistas.

The ground-floor classroom is filled with natural light and local history, while the courtyard with its fire pit and stone seating suits couples after something more relaxed.

When the formalities are done, the celebration moves to the Convent Brewery. The interior has a dance floor with a stage for your band or DJ, and the expansive deck extends the space outdoors. Craft beers brewed on site sit alongside Rutherglen wines; you’re in one of Australia’s oldest wine regions, and the local producers are within easy reach.
