Lucy founded Flowers by Varu as a styling business, but it didn’t take long before she realised the florals needed to be in her hands too, commanding colour, texture, composition. That instinct has since grown into a full-time team of six who are genuinely, infectiously passionate about wedding flowers. They’ll want to see your mood boards, hear about your colour palette, understand the feeling you’re going for, and then they’ll bring it to life in a way that looks like it was always meant to be there.
It’s an approach that’s earned them Best Wedding Floral Designer in Victoria two years running (2024 and 2025) and a place in the ABIA Top 10 nationally.

Flowers by Varu offer two wedding floral collections: a premium Perfection Collection for couples who want fully designed, large-scale floristry — ceremony backdrops, lush reception centrepieces, abundant bridal bouquets — and a High Street Collection for those working with a tighter budget who still want beautiful, considered flowers. Both are tailored to your venue, your season and your vision, because Lucy and the team don’t believe in a one-look-fits-all approach.

Flowers by Varu are based in Cheltenham, with a retail flower shop for everyday bouquets alongside their wedding and events studio. They also create florals for corporate clients including Crown.

I came to them with an idea but I truly had no idea how to articulate it or explain it, the inspo pics that got sent to me, I just knew it was going to be magic!

When we got to the venue all I could say was WOW they nailed it and beyond. The green was absolutely giving everything I asked for plus more, it was vibrant fun and super stylish, the placement of each bloom was thought of and crafted with love you could feel that. Flowers by Varu seriously love what they do because you just feel it through their work!
