Captivatingly styled and gracefully romantic, Hannie and Jackson created an aesthetic vision and a beautifully emotive celebration in their Hubert Estate wedding day.
A soft, pastel colour palette weaves toffee caramel tones with muted peach to perfection, culminating in a ceremony set up of artfully crafted silken statement pieces. With Bow Creative at the helm, this dream day team supported Hannie and Jackson in indomitable style, while working visual magic.

We met back in the autumn of 2013 when we both studied at Monash. We actually started uni in different years and have different circles of friends, but we tend to think it’s fate that we managed to cross paths.
Hannie: From really early on in the relationship, I already knew he was the one. We share a lot in common, such as our thoughts, interests, humour, and values. And knowing I can truly be myself in front of him is the key. He’s my best friend, and we have a lot of fun together.
Jackson: When her actions speak louder than words, showing me that she loves me unconditionally no matter the circumstances. What I love about us is that we understand each other when we don’t even have to speak out loud.
Jackson proposed at the Botanical Gardens on 17th December 2022; it was a beautiful sunny day. Even though there were a few hiccups in the morning of the proposal, with the great help of my close friends, it all went smoothly in the end – just as what Jackson had pictured and planned. It was months in the making, and Jackson hated keeping this from me (he’s also really bad at hiding secrets). We couldn’t asked for a more perfect proposal.
I think we did a really good job playing divide and conquer. I managed the entire budget and research, and Jackson is great at making decisions, which helped narrow down some of our choices.
We wanted something romantic, fun and modern. We were also big on soft pastel colours.
We drew inspiration from other weddings and kept on track with a handy wedding prep timeline – because, honestly, it was overwhelming at the start, not knowing what needed to be done.
It meant a lot to us, seeing our friends and family who have travelled across the world to join us and celebrate us. We’re so glad we waited until after covid to share this special day with everyone. It was also a little milestone in our relationship, as we’ve been together for ten years. Everything was perfect, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jackson cry so much.
Hannie: I wore an off-white/light beige strapless gown with a satin top and a tulle layered skirt for the ceremony – it had a corseted bodice and a basque waistline which elongates the torso and shapes the waist. Then, for the reception, I wore a white satin fitted dress, which had a smaller train and was easier to move around. We both love the beautiful satin sheen, and I think you just know when you try it on. I was also big on the idea of renting my outfits instead of purchasing them – I think it’s a great and more budget-friendly and sustainable approach.
Jackson: I had a clear vision of my outfit and wanted a classic look that will never go out of style. I wore a tuxedo with an ivory jacket, black trousers and a black bow tie.
Hannie: It’s too hard to pick just one! I enjoyed seeing Jackson’s happy tears, our guest speeches, seeing our wedding come together after months in the making, and everyone having a great time on the dance floor.
Jackson: Seeing Hannie coming down the aisle and the moment we were announced husband and wife.
Marriage is the unique bond we share, from being a couple to being a family, we will be tied together as an unit. It is a commitment we are making to build a family and life together, to learn and grow into better versions of ourselves, and to be next to each other in every journey of life. While life may not be perfect, knowing we’ll have each other’s love and support gives us strength.

I changed into my second dress for the reception, and as soon as I sat down down for entree after the entrance, some of our lovely friends came up to the sweetheart table to drink with us. One guy knocked his glass too hard and spilt his wine, which ended up dropping on one of the entrees that had gravy. And, of course, the gravy splashed a little. The next thing I knew, I was in the bridal room trying to wipe off the stains before we rushed out for sunset photos. We are so glad I prepared a third dress!
It was actually more fun than stressful – I actually really enjoyed planning and working on the wedding even though there was a lot to do.
HAVE FUN with it and trust the process. Enjoy working on this project with your partner – it can get challenging at times but communication is key.

HANNIE & JACKSON’S VENDORS
We found most of our suppliers through social media and word of mouth. It was important to us that we got along with the team and they understood us and our needs. We can’t thank them enough for making everything happen and giving us the most perfect wedding. With the A-team’s help, the day went smoothly, and we were able to truly enjoy ourselves and have fun.
