Modern Garden styled shoot
Wedding planner and stylist Melanie (founder of Mellyrain), was inspired to create Modern Garden after seeing first-hand the impacts to the wedding industry, and to couples across Victoria due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The imposed divide between Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria was a devastating blow to the wedding industry, as well as couples scheduled to wed, and thus was born the opportunity for Melanie to create enthusiasm, inspiration and positive momentum for wedding suppliers in the industry across Victoria.
Inspired by the enforced divide, by blending touches of Melbourne elegance, with a country Victorian backdrop, the photoshoot showcases amazing wedding suppliers, and the diversity Victoria offers couples planning to be wed.
The French-inspired gardens and rich history of the French Cottage in Beechworth allowed the team to incorporate a modern wedding style with sharp edges and geometric shapes, along with romantic touches, using clean and sleek brushes of elegance.
Incorporating soft tones of pink and cream flowing florals to complement the crisp white props, each styling element popped amongst the garden greenery and stunning architecture of the 1854 country cottage. The added touches of gold scripted text and a colourful rainbow of cocktails added the final touches of elegance to the modern garden theme.
With photos captured by the ever-so-talented Alicia Flegeltaub, along with donated time and resources from the wedding suppliers involved (see them below!), Modern Garden is the inspiration we need to kick off a blooming brilliant new year.
