For a festival fiasco with all the feels, check out Ashabella and Tobe’s cracking celebration. Sticking true to their theme of “nothing fancy, just love”, they and their guests relished the relaxed vibe and incredible boho stylings care of Under the Moon Elopements.

This wonderful wedstival was all natural tones and textures, tipis and caravan bar, and native florals overflowing with soft grasses and perfect proteas – all against a backdrop of expansive mountain views.

Ashabella’s incredible Rue de Seine gown was the perfect centrepiece, and her choice to switch her veil for a statement fedora makes for a striking silhouette.

There to capture the laid-back love in all its boho beauty was tribe talent Petite Visuals.

The meeting.

At the gym, Tobe used to follow me around like a bad smell and harass me to train him, and I kept shutting him down – I thought he was a major creeper! Until he saved me from a giant spider in my car one day. After we got to talking, we discovered our families were from the same small country town, and Ashabella’s grandfather had done work for Tobe’s father out on the property he manages.

The ‘one’.

Ash: when Toby showed up on my doorstep when he was meant to be going to Wagga for work. He wanted to spend one more night with me before he went away.

Tobe: when she got up at 5am the first time I spent the night and cooked me breakfast, all my lunches for work, and washed my work clothes.

The proposal.

Toby sent me a text when he was away for work, saying “you should just marry me already.” I thought he was joking and thought I would call his bluff; so I said: “yes, okay, I’m in, let’s do it!”

The day he got back, he took me shopping for a ring (ten days after we started dating) – much to everyone’s shock six years later and here we are!

Planning process.

The entire process was completely stress-free, due to the fact that Ash (Under the Moon Elopements), and I had very similar taste. Even though we had never met, it was like I had known her for years, and was talking to an old friend. She sent us multiple vendors for each aspect of our wedding; food, flowers, photographer, make-up etc., and all we had to do was pick a favourite, and she did the rest.

Style inspiration.

We wanted something that reflected the kind of people we are; “nothing fancy just love”, as our invites said. It was all about good times with our favourite people; we wanted everyone to feel the love.

The outfit.

I knew from day one I wanted a Rue de Seine gown. I love bohemian styled fashion, and Rue de Seine dresses deliver that and then some.

Favourite moments.

We know it sounds cliché, but we cannot pick. The entire day was absolutely magical; we wish we could re-live it all.

Meaning of marriage.

We get to live the rest of our lives with our best friend, and we think that’s pretty special. How lucky are we!

Wedding soundtrack.

Aisle: Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur

Reception entry: Kiss the Sky by Jason Derulo

First dance: Unbelievable by Craig David

Funny stories or near disasters.

One of the groomsmen forgot his pants the day of the wedding!

Planning surprises.

How easy Ash made it all for us, especially being interstate. We literally just had to show up on the day!

Words of wisdom.

Have fun and enjoy the process together.
