Real Wedding – Elisha & Daniel, Yarra Valley VIC
Elisha and Daniel’s Zonzo Estate celebration was all that they had imagined it would be. Bringing her winery wedding dreams to life, Elisha’s vision of a bohemian and relaxed soiree came together perfectly and was the ideal way to celebrate their love of over a decade.
The wedding plans went off without a hitch, and on the day itself, it was the father of the bride’s speech that had the room in raptures.
The pure joy on the faces of this loved up pair is evident, and there to capture it all was Oli Sansom of Briar’s Atlas.
In Elisha’s words…
The meeting.
My husband and I met when we were 19 years old through mutual friends and we have been together now for 15 years!
The ‘one’.
I knew from the day we met we were very compatible for each other and had the same values and came from a loving supportive family.
The proposal.
Daniel proposed to me in Thailand Pattaya with my 3-year-old niece, Hazel, running towards us with the wording on her jumpsuit with tutu that said “will you marry Zio Dan?”, whilst the sun set was going down and we had the ocean view with my family looking on from afar! It was the best day of my life!
The process.
I am a very organised person so I made sure I had a checklist that I followed religiously.
Style inspiration.
It was very bohemian vintage with white lace and lots of flowers. I always wanted a winery wedding.
The dress.
It was the third dress I tired on and when my Mum Linda and sister Vanessa cried I knew it was the one and purchased my wedding dress on that day.
Favourite moments.
The whole day from start to end! It was all so perfect!
Meaning of marriage.
Marriage means that this is forever… having your best friend by your side for the rest of your life, having someone to share the good and bad times with and to create a loving family.

My dad Tony’s speech was priceless! Everyone was in stitches crying with laughter. He made the speeches so enjoyable.

Reception venue / location: Zonzo Estate – the service from the wedding coordinators and staff was outstanding. Highly recommend having a winery wedding.
Celebrant/Officiant: Sally Hughes – she is so lovely and made our ceremony so special!
Photography: Oli Sansom of Briars Atlas – a fantastic photographer. He captured every moment so beautifully. He is fun, energetic and wonderful to work with. We love our photos so much!

Honeymoon: Europe. We travelled to Barcelona, San Sebastian, Germany, Amsterdam, Positano, Taormina and Santorini in four weeks. The best honeymoon ever!
