Real Wedding – Esther & Thibault, Mt Duneed VIC
When it came to their wedding celebration, Esther and Thibault wanted to keep their day purposeful with magical moments of fun along the way.
Esther looked a dream in her gorgeous gown as found at one of our favourite bridal boutiques, SoHo Bride. It was simple yet elegant and her gorgeous bridesmaids in green complemented the glamorous vibe beautifully.
Starting with a sensational ceremony, led by Jermaine Clarke, this perfect pair had a ball while exchanging vows and were surprised by how swept up in the emotion they felt. Stunning snaps with Ryal Sormaz took place before they made their way to their romantic reception that encompassed fabulous florals and an incredible aerial installation.
The party started with a champagne tower that ended up being one of their favourite moments, before they hit the dance floor and celebrated with their nearest and dearest to the talented tunes by Ivory Tribe faves, Hey Jack. Enjoy the visual feast that is Esther and Thibault’s day, right here.
The meeting.
Through friends about 9 years ago
The ‘one’.
I knew straight away (Esther), it took Thibault more time
The proposal.
We went away to Sydney. I dressed up under the false pretense we were going out someplace nice for dinner. Thibault popped the question on a lovely walk with a backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Planning process.
Bumpy with the uncertainty of covid and we were very lucky all along with no rescheduling and made last minute decisions when it came to booking suppliers. I’d describe it as exciting but a million thoughts were always running through our minds about our day.
Style inspiration.
Elegant with purposeful ideas/moments of FUN and pops of bright colours.
The ceremony.
It was so romantic, and we had SO much FUN standing up there and were surprised by the emotions we experienced.
The outfits.
My dress was silk. Simple and elegant with a dash of embellishment on the shoulders, and the most perfect sleeves. An angelic headpiece for the reception that made me feel majestic. For Thibault, he wore a timeless three-piece tuxedo with all the right touches.
Favourite moment.
Having a ball pouring our champagne into the champagne tower after our entrance into the reception. It was the first view of the room and our guests. Everyone was cheering us on. We were on such a high.
Meaning of marriage.
Unity – a shared commitment for life.
Wedding soundtrack.
Aisle: Savage Garden – I knew I loved you
Reception: Michael Jackson – Don’t stop til you get enough
First dance: Dean Martin – Sway
Funny stories (or near disasters).
One of my bridesmaids dress’ split right down the zip/popped right open, half way through the night
Planning surprises.
Who knew seating plans were so difficult?!
