Mewburn Park is a 400-acre working farm tucked behind an oak-lined driveway in the heart of Gippsland’s food and wine region. The property dates back to the 1850s; servant’s quarters from the colonial era, a homestead wrapped in a sweeping 1920s veranda, and a set of historic stables offering a rustic texture that can’t be simply manufactured. It’s private, it’s quiet, and it feels a long way from anywhere.
Two and a half hours east of Melbourne, Mewburn Park gives you exclusive use of the entire property for your wedding.
Multiple options across the grounds let you shape the day around the weather and your style. Garden ceremonies under century-old trees, the old brick stables for something more atmospheric, or the Farmers Shed if the weather turns. Receptions are held in a fully equipped marquee — trestle tables and chairs, festoon lights, outdoor bar, concrete flooring, decking, and power for entertainment — open to the sky and surrounded by farmland.
The property is licensed for up to 130 guests (extensions available), with a minimum of 50.
Mewburn Park works with a curated list of recommended Gippsland caterers, giving you flexibility over your menu style and budget while ensuring quality and familiarity with the property. A beverage package is available through the venue to cover the full day and night.
Mewburn Park has recently added two retreats to the property, giving you somewhere to stay and get ready to extend the wedding weekend experience.
The Lake House sits on the water’s edge with uninterrupted lake views, a private deck, and a bathtub under the stars; all designed for the couple to enjoy the night of the wedding.
Mountain View is a spacious cabin with sweeping views across the Great Dividing Range and an outdoor hot tub, ideal for one half of the wedding party to get ready in.
There’s also the Day Suite, a boutique space in the old homestead for quiet pre-ceremony preparation, and a dedicated bridal suite for the wedding party.

Capacity: 50–130 guests (extensions available)
Ceremony options: Indoor and outdoor (gardens, historic stables, Farmers Shed)

Mewburn Park suits couples who want a private, rural wedding with real heritage character, somewhere you can take over for the day and build exactly the celebration you want; whether that’s rustic and relaxed under festoon lights or layered and styled against the backdrop of the homestead and stables.
“Reflecting on our wedding day, it really was everything we could have ever dreamed of and so much more. I cannot tell you how many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been too.
It was clear to us that you know what you are doing, you know how to best manage the day, and you definitely knew how to manage our expectations. All of our guests said how lovely you all were and that nothing was too much to ask.
Thank you again for everything.”
