There’s a particular satisfaction in pulling a beautiful piece out of your wardrobe two years later and remembering exactly where you first wore it.
Courte Collection designs for the first and second life of a garment: bridal and cocktail pieces cut to be worn again, carrying the feeling of your wedding celebrations into your future.
Founded in 2021 by industry veterans Anastasia Tushuizen and Tania Stokes, the label is made entirely in Melbourne, with sleek silhouettes, sharp finishing and a distinctly European sensibility.
The range runs from short looks and two-piece separates through to floor-length gowns, in sizes 6 to 16.
Short pieces start around $990 and full-length gowns from $2,690, with a rush order option if your timeline has tightened.
Their newest collection, Les Noires, reimagines the label’s most-loved silhouettes entirely in black.
Everything is made to order in small runs, which means nothing exists until someone buys it, so there’s no overstock to discount or discard. Offcuts are turned into accessories, shipping is carbon-offset, packaging is biodegradable, and the manufacturers they work with are small, local and mostly female-owned.
The pieces are designed to work across the whole wedding rather than a single hour of it: a short look for the registry or the dancefloor, a gown for the day itself, separates for someone in the wedding party who’d genuinely reach for it again.
Courte Collection pieces have been picked up internationally, including in the New York Times.
“Anastasia was amazing! I flew over from New Zealand and needed to make a decision over a weekend. She made me feel at ease, and quickly clocked what would suit me and the type of wedding we were planning. I ended up picking a beautiful Courte Collection dress that made me feel fantastic on the day. Would absolutely recommend Anastasia to anyone who wants to approach their day calmly but with style!”

There’s something cheekily rebellious about a second dress. Not because you’re breaking rules – but because you’re refusing to be locked into just one version of yourself for the night. And wow, what a glow-up. The…
