With a classic vision and the stunning backdrop of Provenance Wines, Holly and Tom created a wedding day that felt elegant, relaxed and completely true to them.
Cascading red florals framed their ceremony, complementing the delicate lace sleeves of Holly’s gown and matching veil. Holly carried a statement bouquet of red roses, while Tom looked timeless in a black dinner suit tuxedo. Throughout the day, thoughtful pops of red added warmth and romance to the styling.
The celebrations continued with long reception tables adorned with candlelight and single-stem roses, creating an intimate atmosphere for family and friends to gather and celebrate.
Beautifully captured by Tal Lemmens, these images showcase a wedding that balanced modern styling, sentimental moments and plenty of fun along the way.
We met through mutual friends and officially began dating in August 2013.
Right away, we were the perfect fit for each other.
In Japan, with the view of Mt. Fuji in the background.
We wanted something very classic, almost vintage-inspired. We love that style.
Real weddings. Sure, Pinterest photos are great for some inspo, but it’s the real, regular people that I found the most helpful, especially real weddings local to Victoria.
It was very us, as brief as we could make it without it feeling rushed. We don’t like to be the centre of attention, so we had that in mind for the duration. A few funny bits to keep it light and fun. Our ceremony space at Provenance was perfect and intimate.
I knew I always wanted a dress with sleeves; turns out that wasn’t so easy to find. Karen at Pearls & Roses helped me bring my vision to life. Taking a dress off the rack, we removed the belt and sleeves that it came with and added detachable French lace sleeves that matched my veil. It all came together perfectly and helped me achieve my vintage ball gown dream. It was a very big dress, and I almost worried about it being too much, but I’m just so happy with how it turned out – it was perfect.
Tom’s dinner suit tux fit the style of my dress and the overall wedding so well. Harley at Eddy Elias was amazing at helping us find the right suit and accessories. He also opted for a pair of black R.M Williams boots.
I would say getting our sunset photos. It was so nice to step away for a bit just the two of us (and our amazing photo/video team of course) and just have a laugh and almost catch our breath. I would also say the dance floor after our first dance – I’ve never had so much fun and wish we could do it all over.
We had a quite unique soundtrack and I loved it! We struggled for a while to think of songs that were not generic and more to our taste but that were also wedding appropriate.
Aisle song for bridesmaids: Times Like These – Foo Fighters (Acoustic)
Aisle song for bride: My Favourite Thing– Silverchair
Signing song: Waiting All Day– Silverchair
Recessional: White Room – Cream
Reception entrance: Don’t Change – Grinspoon
First dance: Everlong – Foo Fighters (acoustic) this was followed by Hard Act to Follow – Grinspoon to open the dancefloor.
I put Tom’s ring on the wrong hand, despite teasing him that he would do it wrong, in the lead up to the wedding. During the recessional, I took out some candles with the train of my dress – our photographer Tal managed to capture it, and we still laugh about it.
How hard it is to find a dress.
Have fun with it, and don’t take it too seriously. We get told all the time how much fun our guests had because of how relaxed we were about everything. And honestly, we had the best time too, not having the pressure of making everything perfect or trying to cater to anyone else but ourselves.
Provenance Wines had an open day which was an amazing opportunity to meet vendors. I was able to find and book photography, video, music and florals all from that one visit. Everything else was through either word of mouth or socials.
Ceremony and reception venue: Provenance Wines, Fyansford. We recommend 10000%, Jordan was amazing to deal with and made everything fun and easy. Loved having ceremony and reception all in the one place and being able to leave it all up to them. https://provenancewines.com.au/pages/weddings
Celebrant/Officiant: Sarah Jane was a dream to work with, kept things simple and fun for us.
Photography: Tal Lemmens was a big part of why we loved our wedding day, he was so perfect for our vibe and kept us laughing and having fun the whole time. His communication and support from the initial booking all the way up to receiving our photos was top tier.
Videography: Lucy Chatterton. We haven’t received our wedding video just yet, but the sneak peak clips are amazing! Can’t wait to see the final product
Florist: The Posie Place Rachel is the best in the biz for all wedding florals. She nails it at Provenance every time so we knew we were in good hands. I really loved my vibrant red rose bouquet
