Chloe and Hannah’s wedding planning reflected their relationship – intentional and collaborative.
Their vision was carefully considered and incredibly personal and the execution so efficient Hannah was jokingly offered multiple coordinator roles by their deeply impressed suppliers.
The always breathtaking grand hall of Provenance Wines was embellished with dramatic florals and mood-setting candles – the shades of pink and lush greenery adding a soft, romantic edge to both the ceremony and reception spaces.
The joy and feeling of the day was bottled forever in the stills of Jane Fitzgerald Photography.

We met through footy at Albert Park Football Club in 2022 – not exactly your classic rom-com setting, unless mud, sweat, and Deep Heat are your thing. Hannah was already a fixture at the club, while I (Chloe) was new to the city, new to the sport and about to quite literally run into Hannah’s life during a pre-season 2km time trial. What started as a lift to training quickly became a friendship, then a situationship and eventually something far more meaningful.
Our first kiss happened on a footy trip – Hannah dressed as Agnes from Despicable Me and I as Dobby from Harry Potter. Not glamorous, but perfectly us – and a pretty accurate preview of the joy and humour that define our relationship.
Hannah proposed on the beaches of Torquay exactly one year before our wedding. After more than a year of meticulous planning — including a custom-designed ring and a secret celebration — Hannah had to pivot when my detective instincts kicked in. With a handwritten letter titled “Today is the Day”, a carefully selected outfit, and a last-minute plan with our photographer, I was sent on a windswept walk down the beach to find Hannah waiting. Despite the wild weather and sand everywhere, Hannah got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever together. After just enough of a pause to keep her nervous, I said ‘yes’.
Our wedding planning reflected our relationship – intentional, collaborative, and built on everything we’ve worked so hard to build together. While the vision was thoughtful and deeply personal, the execution was impressively efficient. Hannah had the entire wedding essentially planned within two weeks, leaving Candice at Provenance Wines and the rest of our vendor team both shell-shocked and deeply impressed. By the end of it, Hannah had been jokingly offered multiple wedding coordinator roles!
Rather than following tradition for tradition’s sake, we wanted the day to marry all the parts of our lives that have shaped us: our families, our friendships, our footy communities and the love we’ve built in a way that may look different to others.
One of the most important elements was having the people we love most tell our story and create the atmosphere. Our best friend Kylie led our ceremony, sharing our journey with humour and heart, alongside a legal celebrant to officiate the formalities. Music was just as meaningful — my best friend Amalia, a singer-songwriter, performed live as we walked down the aisle alongside her partner and producer, Julian. It made the ceremony deeply personal, intimate, and unforgettable.
We celebrated with 130 guests — the people who have supported us through every season and every version of ourselves.
Our style was modern romance with a soft, feminine edge. We were drawn to a rich yet romantic floral palette of reds, pinks and whites layered with lush greenery. The overall feel was elegant but relaxed — timeless, warm and full of heart.
I (Chloe) wore a gown by Made With Love Bridal, while Hannah’s look was created with Ferrari Formal Wear. Each reflected our individual styles while still feeling cohesive. Our bridesmen wore tailored suits from YSG Tailors, bringing a modern and polished feel to the wedding party.
Walking back down the aisle together as wives, surrounded by bubbles, rose petals, live music, and the people who know us best. It felt like the truest celebration of everything we’ve built together — joyful, emotional and completely us.
Hannah also surprised me by bringing our fur baby, Hurley — a 14-year-old pug with plenty of personality — who stayed for photos and made the day even more special. Having him there added an extra layer of love and fun to the celebrations.
Hannah’s grandmother Eileen sadly passed away about a month before the wedding. We saved a seat for her and displayed a framed photo on our registry table, as she was going to be one of our witnesses. It was a beautiful way to honor her remarkable life and legacy, and for Hannah to pay tribute to someone so special.
Another deeply memorable moment for me was walking down the aisle after my two brothers, who led the way to Two Strong Hearts by John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John. I then continued down to my mum and dad’s wedding song, Everything I Do, I Do It for You by Bryan Adams, creating a profoundly emotional tribute to my parents. It honored my mum, whose father had passed away, and celebrated the 33-year marriage my parents shared — something I have admired my whole life.
For our second look, we slipped into Forever New mini dresses, each a nod to our wedding gowns, paired with white Nike Court runners with a pink tick to match the florals and romance of the night. Singing, twirling, and waving tambourines alongside our guests in heart-shaped sunglasses, we made a show-stopping entrance to Let’s Get Loud by J.Lo and danced the night away.
For the reception, tambourines are an absolute must if you want to bring the party to life, and choosing a great last dance song is key — we went with The Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing, making for an unforgettable finale to our celebration.
Authenticity and connection. Our relationship may not look like everyone else’s but it’s built on trust, respect, laughter, and choosing each other every day. Being able to celebrate that openly — with our story told and sung by the people who love us most — meant everything. We didn’t want it to look like a wedding seen before on social media; we preferred it to be so unique to us and our relationship that it would leave us looking back fondly on it for the rest of our lives.
Plan a day that reflects who you are, not what you think you’re supposed to do, or so it looks good on social media. Trust your people, let go of perfection, and remember that the most important thing is the life you’re choosing to build together and that you are marrying the love of your life!
We made our wedding planning fun by turning it into date nights — visiting vendors in their element, whether enjoying a dinner at their venue or listening to them perform live. It made the whole process a lot more enjoyable and far less stressful.
