Your ceremony, your canapés and your dancefloor each want a different sound, and Melbourne Entertainment Company can score all three from a single roster — one deep enough to carry every moment of the day, from the first note to the last.
Founded by Nathan Op de Coul, who also runs DJ School Australia, the company brings together more than 300 talented performers across Melbourne and regional Victoria: DJs, singers, saxophonists, string players, live bands and roving acts among them. Every booking is coordinated by their team, so one enquiry can shape the whole day’s entertainment rather than a run of separate ones.
Their signature is the hybrid act — a DJ paired with a live saxophonist, singer or acoustic set — and every performer works to a music brief you set, complete with must-plays and a do-not-play list. Photography, photo booths, MCs and lighting can be added alongside the music, all through the one team.
A ceremony might call for a string quartet or a solo guitarist, canapés for an acoustic duo, and the reception for a DJ, a live band or a DJ-and-sax act that lifts the room. Because it all comes from the same roster, you can mix formats across the day and keep the coordination with one team, standard sound setup included and lighting available as an add-on. Performers read the crowd on the night while holding to the moments and songs you’ve flagged as non-negotiable.
Melbourne Entertainment Co suits couples who want range and epic quality — a formal string ensemble for the ceremony, a party-starting DJ-sax act for the reception, or anything between — and who’d rather book and coordinate it all through one team. A strong fit for larger weddings and multi-space venues where the entertainment needs to shift across the day.
“I could honestly rave about how amazing our experience with Melbourne Entertainment Company was for days! We booked DJ Tom for DJ/Sax for our Wedding Party and OH MY GOODNESS – he did not disappoint.
We worked with Evie throughout the booking process who was an absolute queen in not only highly endorsing Tom when we picked after having a shortlist, but helped us with every little question from start to finish and was just sunshine in human form.
If you are looking for a DJ/Sax – truly look no further than Tom and book him immediately. The guy is seriously insanely good at his job. Our guests still can’t stop raving about him and if I had a dollar for every time someone told me he was the best they have ever seen – I’d be a millionaire. And then I’d give all that money to Tom because he deserved it all.
I did not want to leave the dancefloor all night because Tom set the best possible vibes we ever could have wished for. We already got married overseas so we were just in for a full blown party to celebrate with our loved ones and Tom hit every possible mark. We gave him a lot of freedom in terms of a playlist and he nailed it.
Honestly I wish I could throw an annual party just so we can use Tom again and again. Thanks Tom & Evie for truly the greatest night we could have asked for!”

More than 300 performers across DJs, singers, saxophonists, guitarists, pianists, string ensembles, live bands, MCs and roving acts, plus photography, photo booths and lighting. Entertainment can be booked for the ceremony, canapés, the reception or the whole day.
Yes. Because everything comes from one roster, you can pair a string quartet or soloist for the ceremony with a DJ, band or DJ-and-sax act for the reception, coordinated through a single team.
Yes. Once you book, you set the brief through a request form — entrance and first-dance songs, a top-ten must-play list and a do-not-play list — and performers read the room around it on the night.
With a roster of more than 300 performers, a replacement can be arranged, and if no suitable option is available a full refund is offered.
